A stamped card featuring the winning entry in Russia’s Maritime Glory children’s drawing competition was cancelled during a live Children’s Radio broadcast on 28 October 2026. JSC Marka reported the ceremony the following day.

The card reproduces Sofia Sorokina’s drawing, titled “P. S. Nakhimov. The First Defence of Sevastopol. The Sinking of Ships”. The issuer identifies Sorokina as a fifteen-year-old participant from Moscow.

The competition ran from 16 March to 26 April 2026. Its jury considered more than 4,000 entries from eighty Russian regions before selecting her work for the postal item.

The card has a stated printing of 750 copies. Sorokina took part in the cancellation alongside Vladimir Bushuev, director of the St Andrew the First-Called Foundation, and Yulia Senatorova, JSC Marka’s head of philately development.
