GDPR & Data Rights

While Philatelist.co.in primarily serves users in India, we honour GDPR-aligned data rights for all members, regardless of location.

These rights are offered to all members. Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, they are also your legal rights.

1. Right to Access

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within one month.

2. Right to Correction

Most of your information can be corrected yourself from your profile. For anything you cannot change, ask us and we will correct it.

3. Right to Erasure

You may ask us to delete your account and personal information. Some records must be kept where the law requires it — payment records in particular. See our Deletion page for exactly what happens.

4. Right to Restrict or Object

You may ask us to stop using your information in a particular way while a question about it is resolved, or object to a use you disagree with. You can also make your profile private at any time without asking us.

5. Right to Portability

You may ask for your information in a common, machine-readable format so that you can take it elsewhere.

6. Withdrawing Consent

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

7. Legal Basis for Processing

• Performing our agreement — running your account, your club memberships, and payments.
• Legitimate interests — keeping the Platform safe, preventing abuse, and improving the service.
• Consent — optional details you choose to publish, and optional features you switch on.
• Legal obligation — accounting records and responding to lawful requests.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Please use the Contact page on Philatelist.co.in. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, to make sure we are not disclosing your information to someone else.
