France and Germany plan a joint stamp issue on 9 November 2026 commemorating the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Aristide Briand and Gustav Stresemann in 1926. The French stamp carries a €2.25 international-letter denomination and combines the two statesmen’s portraits with the words “La paix en Europe”.

Detlef Behr created the offset-printed design. The French version is gummed and offered in sheets of fifteen, priced at €33.75. La Poste lists the sheet format as 143 × 185 mm and the postal service as international letters up to 20 grams.

The accompanying historical account links the prize to the two foreign ministers’ role in the 1925 Locarno agreements. These sought security guarantees, renunciation of violent changes to borders and civilian resolution of disputes. The issue places their work within the longer history of Franco-German reconciliation.

Philapostel Bretagne also reports a joint presentation containing both countries’ stamps: France’s €2.25 value and Germany’s €0.90 value.
