A special cover featuring the snow leopard was released at Shimla on 30 September 2026. Its illustrated design shows the animal against a mountain landscape and identifies it in English and Hindi as the state animal of Himachal Pradesh. The circular cancellation also carries the Shimla name and 30 September date.

Rainbow Stamp News lists the cover among SIMPEX 2026 releases. Its account associates the exhibition with a set of postcards and a permanent pictorial cancellation depicting the western tragopan. A separate report published by MB’s Stamps of India on 3 November brought the snow-leopard cover back into current philatelic reporting.
