POST Luxembourg releases five-part September programme spanning Stamp Day, architecture and sport

POST Luxembourg announced on 1 September 2026 a group of stamps for release on 15 September covering five subjects: Stamp Day in Kleinbettingen, the new National Archives building at Esch-Belval, the Wäinhaus in Ehnen, the Adolphe Bridge for the SEPAC Iconic Landmarks theme and the 50th edition of the Vollekslaf Walfer running event.

The Stamp Day design depicts the Bechel water tower, built in 1953 with a capacity of 265 cubic metres and formerly used to supply the municipality of Steinfort. The National Archives stamp focuses on the institution’s new Esch-Belval building and its role in preserving and providing access to historically, scientifically, economically and culturally important records.

Ehnen’s Wäinhaus is represented through two se-tenant stamps whose illustration continues across both designs, joining restored historic structures with a contemporary extension. The Adolphe Bridge appears as Luxembourg’s contribution to the SEPAC Iconic Landmarks theme, presenting the bridge as both an engineering monument and part of the capital’s continuing urban development.

The fifth subject marks the 50th Vollekslaf Walfer. First organised in 1975, the event now includes several categories and has used a 12-kilometre main route since 2011. POST made the new stamps available on 15 September through post offices, the Philatelic Counter and its online shop.
