Ukraine presents Logistics Forces stamp with ceremonial cancellation

A new Ukrposhta stamp honouring the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was presented with a ceremonial cancellation ahead of the logistics specialists' commemorative day on 11 October. Its title translates as “Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Steel Strength and Unwavering Will”.

Gazeta.ua reported the ceremony on 10 October, citing the General Staff's Telegram announcement. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence's ArmyInform agency subsequently confirmed the release and ceremony on 11 October.

Logistics Forces commander Colonel Yurii Pohribnyi, Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevhen Sydorenko, Colonel Vitalii Riabov and Major Ihor Simutin participated in cancelling the envelopes. The published photographs show the officials applying a handstamp, with the illustrated postal sheet displayed beside them.

The General Staff's description says the designs represent military logistics work, including supply, repair and transport. It describes the issue as limited and says the printing will not be repeated, without giving a numerical quantity.
