Ukrposhta and Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence presented the Archangel Gabriel postal issue on 12 October 2026, Military Chaplain Day. Ukrposhta’s report confirms that the ceremonial cancellation took place at the Great Lavra Bell Tower in Kyiv.

Participants included Kostiantyn Kholodov, head of Defence Intelligence’s military chaplaincy service, intelligence representatives Andrii Yusov and Yevhen Yerin, and Archbishop Ahapit of Vyshhorod. These completed-ceremony details follow the advance bulletin published on 8 October.

The stamp reproduces Defence Intelligence’s official Archangel Gabriel icon. The envelope carries the Prayer of the Ukrainian Intelligence Officer. Artists Serhii Herasymenko and Oksana Samson created the icon in an eighteenth-century Ukrainian baroque style; its imagery includes a white lily branch and an owl.

The Own Stamp project issue comprises a sheet of eight stamps and an illustrated envelope bearing a stamp and special cancellation. The advance bulletin describes an unnumbered issue with an unlimited print run.
