Japan Post’s Okinawa branch announced the original Frame Stamp sheet “Kafunu Shima – Kohamajima II” on 13 October 2026. The sheet uses photographs of Kohama Island’s scenery and will go on sale at participating post offices in the Yaeyama region on 19 October.

Each sheet contains ten ¥85 stamps and costs ¥1,600 including tax. The announced quantity is 500 sheets, divided between 400 for counter sales and 100 for online sales. Japan Post’s online shop will begin accepting orders at 00:15 Japan time on 25 October, with postage and related charges added to the sheet price. The product code is 2610000102949.

The official sheet illustration places island photographs in two rows of five stamps beneath a large harbour scene. The listed counter network excludes simplified post offices, and Japan Post cautions that participating offices may change.

A presentation is scheduled for 15:30 on 19 October in the mayor’s office on the third floor of Taketomi Town Hall, at 11-1 Misakicho in Ishigaki. Taketomi mayor Masato Maedomari is named as the recipient.
