India Post details six-city postcard campaign aboard IndiGo flights
Philately NewsIndia’s Ministry of Communications published details on 13 October 2026 of a postcard-writing campaign conducted with IndiGo the previous day. The initiative took place on Philately Day, 12 October, during National Postal Week.
Passengers on selected IndiGo flights received specially designed Digital Detox kits containing postcards. The official report identifies participation across Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. Postcards featured landmarks associated with those cities.
After writing their messages during the journey, passengers could deposit the postcards in specially placed India Post letterboxes at arrival airports for onward delivery. The campaign linked the in-flight writing activity with a postal collection arrangement on arrival.
The Ministry’s photographs show the distributed kits and passengers writing aboard aircraft. One kit photograph includes a postcard depicting Delhi’s Red Fort. The report describes the campaign as an invitation to take a break from digital devices and communicate through handwritten messages.
