Poland expands e-Delivery as digital notices replace more paper correspondence

A new stage of Poland’s e-Doręczenia system began on 1 January, requiring most public authorities to prioritise registered electronic delivery. Poczta Polska operates the system.

People without a digital mailbox can still receive hybrid delivery, in which electronic correspondence is printed and delivered physically. The change therefore reduces some traditional mail while creating a mixed digital-and-paper service model.

Postal historians should retain official notices, hybrid envelopes and service markings that explain this transition. Users needing legal proof of delivery must follow current Polish rules rather than assume ordinary registered-mail procedures still apply.
