Serpost reported presenting a commemorative cancellation for the bicentenary of obstetrics in Peru on 10 October 2026. The postal operator describes the commemoration as recognising two hundred years of the profession’s contribution to maternal health.

The ceremony included Jenny Zavaleta Luján, dean of Colegio Regional de Obstetras III, and Gustavo González de Otoya La Torre, president of Serpost’s board. According to the announcement, the cancellation would be available for thirty days at the Jesús María postal administration.

The official photograph shows a presentation envelope carrying an existing Peru flag stamp and the special cancellation. The envelope includes a historic building and a portrait labelled Benita Cadeau. Its large anniversary heading reads 1826–2026, while the centre of the cancellation appears to read 1826–2025. The photographed material therefore contains a year discrepancy alongside the announcement’s 2026 date.
