Dhule postal programme introduces school pupils to stamp collecting
Dhule Head Post Office organised a “Fun with Philately Day” programme at Sant Anthony School during National Postal Week 2026, according to a Marathi report published by Sakal on 19 October. Pupils in Classes VIII to X took part.
The programme introduced stamp collecting alongside the history, traditions and modern services of the postal department. Activities included letter and postcard writing, stamp-based design and drawing, and a quiz about India Post. Participating pupils received recognition.
Senior Superintendent S. B. Tathe and school principal Father Wilson Rodrigues attended, along with postal staff and teachers. The programme aimed to encourage stamp collecting and preserve the practice of letter writing.
