Finding Other Collectors

What this is: Searching for and browsing other members of the site.
Where: Tap "Directory" in the main menu.

1. To search by name: just type into the search box at the top and tap the magnifying glass.
2. To narrow down the list instead of searching by name, tap one of the filter icons in the row below the search box:
   • Location — tap this to pick a country. If you pick India, a second icon for State appears so you can narrow it down further.
   • Profile — filter by what kind of collector someone is (stamps, coins, etc.)
   • Club — show only members of a specific club.
   • Theme — show only people who collect around a particular subject, like birds or sports.
   • Collects — show only people who collect items from a specific country.
   • Colony — show only people who collect stamps from a specific historical colonial territory.
3. Whichever icon you tap opens a box below it with its own search bar and a list to choose from — type to narrow it down, then tap the one you want.
4. Every filter you've picked shows as a small tag underneath, with an X on it — tap the X to remove just that one filter, or tap "Clear All" to remove everything at once and start over.
5. To change the order results appear in, tap the sort icon and choose: Name (alphabetical), Date Joined (newest members first), Fame (based on likes and recognition on the site), or Followers (most followed first).

Understanding the Result Cards

Once you search or filter, you'll see a list of member cards. Here's what's on each one, and what you can do:

• Tapping anywhere on the card takes you to that person's full profile.
• Photo — their profile picture, or their initials if they haven't added one.
• A small badge on the photo, if shown, tells you how long they've been collecting (like "5 years").
• Name — their alias (username) shows in brackets next to it if they have one.
• Three small icons in the top corner (only visible if you're logged in): a heart to like their profile, a plus/checkmark to follow them, and a share icon (this one works even if you're not logged in).
• Their country flag and state/city.
• A small tag icon with a number — how many themes they collect around. Tap it to see the full list.
• A small clubs icon with a number — how many clubs they belong to.
• Medal icons, if they have any awards — tap them to see what each award was.
