FIP releases limited remaining copies of its centenary history book

The Fédération Internationale de Philatélie announced on 18 August 2026 that a limited number of copies of its centenary book are available for purchase. The 100-page hardcover volume commemorates the federation’s development since its foundation in 1926 and forms part of the international programme marking FIP’s hundredth anniversary.

Copies are being distributed to FIP member and associate-member organizations, former board members and contributors. The remaining stock is priced at USD 25 or CHF 20 per book. FIP states that availability is very limited, so the offer is materially different from an unrestricted commercial publication with a continuing print supply.

Shipping is quoted at CHF 14 per book to the Americas and Europe and CHF 11 per book to Asia, using Singapore Post Speedpost. Payment is by bank transfer to FIP’s UBS account. The federation also says reserved copies may be handed over personally by its Secretary General at PHILATAIPEI 2026 or SLOVPHILEX 2027, providing an alternative to postal delivery for people attending those exhibitions.

The book is relevant as a contemporary institutional record of organized international philately. FIP’s history encompasses the development of exhibition patronage, competitive classes, judging standards, national-federation participation and world exhibitions. A physical centenary volume may preserve photographs and organizational context that are otherwise dispersed across circulars, exhibition bulletins and web archives.

FIP directs researchers seeking additional historical material to its separate centenary site, which contains archival photographs and documents. The announcement does not state the original print quantity, detailed contents, dimensions, weight or an ordering deadline; availability therefore depends on the remaining stock rather than a fixed closing date.
