Isle of Man links Year of the Horse issue with equestrian accessibility

The Isle of Man Post Office issued four Year of the Horse stamps on 20 January using artwork by engraver and stamp artist Martin Mörck. The four denominations appear as a horizontal se-tenant strip and interpret horse imagery drawn from sources including ancient scrolls and Tang dynasty murals.

The issue also recognises the 50th anniversary of the Isle of Man Riding for the Disabled Association and two decades of Manx Carriage Driving 4 Disabled. That local connection gives the zodiac subject an additional social-history dimension beyond the standard Lunar New Year theme.

Cartor printed the gummed stamps by offset lithography, and related products included presentation packs and signed or unsigned first-day covers. Collectors should distinguish the basic strip, complete sheets and premium signed products when cataloguing or comparing prices.
